TopOur Timeline solution lets you choose one or more Critical Tasks, set their Path Colors, then view Timeline to trace the resulting multiple Critical Paths through all predecessors and feeder projects.
To use it…
By installing our Timeline solution, as shown in the screen shots below it includes:
- Our Timeline Report, which can be configured at the Project, Program, Portfolio, or Standalone level
- The corresponding Task level custom form an views used to specify and format the contents of the Timeline
- Set Critical Tasks = Yes
- Choose Critical Path Visibility
- Pick Critical Path Color
- Adjust Minimum Float In Days
- Click Timeline Tab
- Choose Project Filter and/or Task Filter
- Set the Timeframe
- Set the desired Indent Depth
- Click View Report
- Each Critical Task is retrieved with its chosen Path Color
- Labled by Task Number, WBS, Name, and Predecessor Task Number Xref
- Timeline crawls backwards through all predecessors using that same Critical Path color
- Including Parent Tasks
- All the way up the current Project
- Including Feeder Projects via Cross Project Predecessors
- And continue crawling until all dependencies are revealed
- Multiple Paths, Multiple Colors
- Downloadable to PDF format
