Our Swimlane Report solution lets you easily tag Projects, Tasks, and Issues into a useful and combined Swimlane Report by Portfolio, Program, Project Owner, or Project.
To use it…
We will help you run our “Package Installation” to install our Swimlane Report solution into your Workfront instance, including the dashboards, Magic Reports, filters, views, and additional custom data against which the report then generates.
Refer to the Swimlane Report video in the Media section, which includes a detailed functionality review.
Once installed, the resulting Swimlane Report solution then provides all of the following:
- Navigate to a list of the Projects, Tasks, and/or Issues of interest
- On each list, set the appropriate Swimlane Details view
- For each item of interest, set the appropriate Swimlane Tag(s)
- Navigate to the Standalone dashboard
- Select the desired Swimlane Report (by Portfolio, by Program, by Project Owner, or by Project)
- Select the desired Project, Task, and Issue Filters
- Set the From and To Date
- Accept the Settings tab defaults
- Click View Report
- Swimlanes are colored automatically but can also be overridden to a particular Hex Color Code via custom data
- Cell contents, font colors, font formats, and are also driven automatically by calculated custom parameters
- Repeat, using different Swimlane Reports, filters, date ranges, and settings
To then configure it for the Users of interest:
- Share the AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Standalone), AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Portfolio), AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Program), and AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Project) dashboards with those Users of interest (e.g. manually, via a group, or make Visible System-Wide)
- Add our AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Standalone), AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Portfolio), AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Program), and AtAppDemo Swimlane Report (Project) dashboards and custom sections to those Users of interest either manually (temporarily, to test), or (recommended, when you are ready) via their Layout Templates
- Share the Swimlane Report (Project), Swimlane Report (Task), and Swimlane Report (Issue) custom forms and Swimlane Details (Project), Swimlane Details (Task), and Swimlane Details (Issue) view with those Users of interest (e.g. manually, via a group, or make Visible System-Wide)
- Use the views to populate the Swimlane Tags on the custom form for each Project, Task, or Issue of interest (e.g. individually by attaching and completing the custom form, or by filtering to those items of interest and updating them via their corresponding Swimlane Details view
And finally, to test it for the Users of interest:
- Login As one of those Users of interest (for context)
- Open the AtAppDemo Swimlane Report custom tab on a Portfolio, Program, or Project of interest
- Choose the Date Range of interest
- Set the desire Report Settings
- Click View Report to render the report
- Assess the results (e.g. adjusting the Report Settings and re-running the report to Show more details)
